The 52 program is broken into three phases: off-season (18 weeks), pre-season (10 weeks) and in-season (22 weeks). Each phase focuses on specific skills and energy systems. Off-Season develops speed, strength and size. The Pre-Season focuses on maintaining that speed and strength while developing power, reaction, change of direction and endurance.
